The course is designed to expose students to the finer details of the financial accounting concepts introduced in the first year course with specific reference to the asset items that feature in the financial statements. It will endeavor to explore the application of accounting theory, standards, principles and procedures in valuation of these assets items.

Methodology

The course will be conducted mainly by way of lectures, tutorials, assignments and class discussion of the assigned material
