This course allows the learner to perfect their skills and demonstrate leadership in IR.

Expected learning outcomes

At the end of this course, the learner should be able to:

  1. Perform interventional procedures independently.
  2. Generate appropriate and comprehensive reports.
  3. Model best IR practices to various cadres of practitioners.
  4. Demonstrate leadership in IR practice

In this course the learner builds up on the knowledge and skills gained in year one through an in-depth review of all vascular and non-vascular IR topics performed in all anatomical regions. Integrated patient management, patient-centered and multidisciplinary care shall be emphasized.

Expected learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the learner shall be able to:

1.     Describe various types of vascular pathologies

2.     Perform pre/intra/post-procedural patient evaluation, management and follow-up.

3.     Execute informed consent for all procedures

4.     Discuss the principles of patient selection and the appropriate therapeutic options.

5.     Perform vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.
