The Earth Processes course unit is one of the two core courses for Bachelor of Petroleum Geoscience and one of the three core courses for Bachelor of Science (Geology), Bachelor of Science (General) and Bachelor of Education (Science) in Geology at level 1 (First year). The other core courses are SGL 101 – Materials of the Earth and SGL 103 - Introduction to Paleontology (for B.Sc Geology, B.Sc General and B.Ed. Science). However, for B.Sc. Petroleum Geoscience, the other one core course in Geology is SGL 101 – Materials of the Earth. Geology is a science of the study of the earth with reference to its evolution, composition and processes that have prevailed from the time of its evolution to the present time.
