The main aim of this course is to lay a strong foundation of thermodynamics which provides the basic understanding of all chemical processes.  This course,  also called Physical Chemistry 4 consists of a continuation of thermodynamics and an introduction to phase equilibrium. A prerequisite to this cause is SCH 203: physical chemistry 1 which basically covered the FIRST LAW  OF THERMODYNAMICS. You are advised to review the concepts covered under the mentioned law  to enable easy continuity.
