Regular rotations in clinico-radiological conferences form an indispensable part of the programme. Residents are required to have close interaction with the clinicians and attend relevant scientific conferences. Full participation in routine procedures carried out in diagnostic imaging, which include reporting on all films:- sonography, fluoroscopy, CT/MRI imaging, nuclear imaging and interventional procedures, is mandatory. Daily case review and discussion sessions will occur throughout the programme. Radiology calls are an integral part of the practical training programme in which the resident as first on-call makes critical management decisions in collaboration with the supervisors. Addition rotations in the elective term and at a rural based facility are incorporated.
This course culminates in the following assessments;
1. End of rotation assessment
2. Log book assessment
3. Elective term report and assessment
4. Rural based report (Kikuyu hospital) assessment
5. Clinical reports examination
6. Image review session (IRS)
